"Why do you wear a cross necklace?" Yuina asked out of her curiosity. "You're no Christian, right?"

"No. I'm a Buddhist." Makoto replied. 'A Buddhist who hardly practices' she added it for herself.

"So what's the story behind that? I bet it was so interesting." Yuina teased. "Must be from a past boyfriend!"

"Huh? I call it a lucky guess! Sorry, can't share. It's too personal." Makoto chuckled.

Mikoto raised her one eyebrow. Makoto had a love story? There are so much she hadn't known about her tanned adoptive sister yet. So what was the secret behind the cross?

As the summer heat played its orchestra, along the chiming wind chime and the chirping cicadas, Makoto began to recall her past memories.

Prologue: Along the wind chime and cicadas...

It was a hot summer day. Such a redundant explanation. Of course summer IS supposed to be hot. To be precise it was 23th July, the genshi (peak of summer). The weather was about 39 degree Celcius. Enough to melt some ice blocks. And someone's brain as well.
"It's HAWT!" Yuina moaned. "It's HAWT! You hear me!" she kept doing that. Strangely she was the one who was sitting right in front of a whirling fan. The wind chime chimed as if deadly agreed with her. 
"SHUT UP!" Mikoto spatted. She was lying on the tatami, wearing brown tank top and denim blue short pants. Feeling helpless like a dying worm. It WAS hot like a freaking hell. But there w
